The $71 million viaduct will include a transfer station between TRAX trains that will stop atop the bridge, and FrontRunner commuter trains that will stop beneath it. “The stops will be connected by escalators,” [UTA spokesman Gerry] Carpenter said.So, sounds like those of us from Northern Utah heading to the airport won't have to stay aboard FR all the way to Salt Lake Central Station to grab an airport TRAX connection. Apparently, FR will stop just north of the viaduct -- according to UTA's rendering -- unload/load passengers connecting to or from the TRAX line, then proceed north(?) and south. Cool.
